The Position

The Medical Partner is a trusted externally focused and scientifically grounded partner within our customer engagement model. By building and maintaining deep and trusted connections with key customers over a meaningful period of time you will generate impact by anticipating and proactively optimising medical practice ensuring that Roche is a preferred partner in our key disease areas.

The Medical function serves as a critical engine of competitiveness to ensure our innovations reach their full potential for patients with an end-to-end this role you will maximize local and cross-country medical and scientific activities to accelerate the delivery of our pipeline differentiate our portfolio based on data drive strategic advocacy champion community engagement and advance patient access.

What will you be working on:

As a Medical Partner you will:

  • Act as one of the scientific experts for our Oncology portfolio proactively contributing strong therapeutic area expertise.

  • Lead the medical component of the local strategy.

  • Proactively engage externally including withTherapeutic Area Experts (TAEs) and key stakeholders as an active partner in our engagement strategy.

  • Drive proactive end-to-end strategies and tactics that deliver superior experiences anticipate future medical trends shape medical practice and support our portfolio throughout its entire lifecycle.

  • Systematically collect analyze and translate external scientific insights and clinical practice perspectives into actionable strategic recommendations.

  • Systematically identify evidence gaps and solutions to support local medical practice.

Who are you

You are a qualified Medical Affairs professional with a completed Medical Pharmaceutical or Natural Sciences degree (e.g. MD PharmD PhD or equivalent).

You have:

  • Demonstrated professional experience within Medical Affairs as a Medical Adviser or Medical Manager ideally with deep expertise in the Oncology therapeutic landscape and established relationships with Australian TAEs

  • A comprehensive knowledge of the drug development process clinical trials Real-World Evidence (RWE) and the nuanced Australian medical and regulatory landscape

  • A strong working knowledge of the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct allowing you to conduct comprehensive reviews of materials and resolve compliance issues proactively.

  • An entrepreneurial and growth mindset meaning you love to seek out opportunities experiment navigate ambiguity and challenge the status quo to deliver positive change

  • Excellent assertive communication and interpersonal skills giving you the ability to articulate complex data clearly and build trusted internal and external collaborations

  • AI literacy and a digital-forward learner mindset confidently incorporating digital tools and human-in-the-loop oversight into your daily work.

Full eligibility to live and work in Australia is required for this Sydney-based role as visa and/or relocation support is not available for this role.
