Most design engineering jobs involve tweaking products that already exist.
This one sits inside a specialised R&D environment designing complex engineered systems from scratch backed by an experienced global engineering group.
The work is technical. The industry is niche. Most engineers who land here end up staying.
Were looking for an engineer who enjoys solving real engineering problems working closely with manufacturing teams and taking genuine ownership of projects. This role would suit someone with around 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly-based environment who wants more autonomy more technical depth and a clear path into leading projects over time.

What youll be doing
  • Designing mechanical systems and products using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
  • Developing 3D models fabrication drawings assembly drawings and P&IDs
  • Supporting prototype builds testing and design improvements
  • Working closely with Manufacturing QA and Product teams throughout development
  • Contributing to long-term product development projects with real technical complexity
  • Taking ownership of engineering challenges and helping drive projects forward
What theyre looking for
  • Around 3 years in a mechanical design role within manufacturing
  • Strong Design for Manufacture (DFM) understanding
  • Experience designing products that are physically built and assembled
  • Autodesk Inventor Vault or SolidWorks experience
  • Mechanical Engineering degree or similar
  • Australian PR or Citizenship
Helpful but not essential
  • HVAC refrigeration or thermal systems exposure
  • FEA / CFD experience
  • Pressure vessel or heat exchanger knowledge
  • Exposure to complex engineered equipment or industrial products
