Key highlights include hiking the panoramic Mount Barker Summit exploring the picturesque Laratinga Wetlands riding the historic Steam Ranger Heritage Railway and visiting local wineries and the Saturday farmers Mt Baker here.

  • Are you reliable efficient and committed to supporting the smooth operation of a health unit
  • Are you an experiencedcook particularly in healthcare and aged care services
  • Do you have a sound knowledge of food safety standards and safe food handling practices
  • Are you ready to contribute to a positive team environment while delivering essential support services

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE

You will.

  • Preparecook and present meals in line with menu plans and dietary guidelines
  • Provide trade guidance and support to staff contribute to developing procedures and train apprentices as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety hygiene and infection control standards
  • Adapt meals to meet specific patient dietary needs (e.g. texture-modified allergies cultural preferences)
  • Maintain a clean safe and organised kitchen environment
  • Assistwith stock control ordering and minimising food waste
  • Contribute to a positive team culture focused on quality and care
