MARAM Practice Lead & Family Violence Trainer

Deliver specialist family violence training to diverse workforces and organisations across Australia.

No to Violence is Australias peak body for individuals and organisations that work with men that use violence. We provide training sector development and advocacy across the sector. We operate the Mens Referral Service providing a counselling service and referral pathways directly to men who use violence. As a pro-feminist organisation women and children are at the centre of what we do by ending mens use of family violence families individuals and communities are safer.

About the role

Role Type: Permanent Full-time/Part-time (0.8 FTE)

Classification: SCHADS Level 6

Location: hybrid /remote

As a National Family Violence Trainer youll deliver high-quality engaging training to a diverse range of professionals and organisations across Australia. Youll help build workforce capability by making complex family violence concepts accessible practical and relevant to participants work.

Youll deliver NTVs accredited non-accredited and customised training programs including the MARAM Adults Using Family Violence Tools and 5 Essential Discussion Tools. Youll also contribute to reviewing and improving existing programs and developing new training packages and resources.

The role involves both online and face-to-face delivery with travel required from time to time. Youll work closely with other trainers and NTV colleagues to share knowledge respond to participant feedback and continually improve the quality of our training.

About you

Youre an experienced family violence practitioner and trainer who can engage diverse audiences communicate complex ideas clearly and create learning environments where people can ask questions challenge their thinking and apply what theyve learned.

To be successful youll have:

• Experience delivering family violence training or professional development.
• Strong understanding of working with adults who use family violence.
• Strong presentation communication and group facilitation skills.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and engaging challenging material.
• Experience working in the specialist family violence sector.
• An understanding of the gendered nature of family violence and a commitment to strengthening the specialist mens family violence sector.
