Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver valuation engagements for a variety of purposes including accounting / financial reporting tax and transaction support.
- Perform advanced financial analysis and modelling to support valuation assessments utilising all methodologies including discounted cash flow capitalisation of earnings and asset-based approaches.
- Perform robust and supportable valuation metric research and analysis including comparable companies comparable transactions discount rate inputs and industry dynamics.
- Draft and review high quality valuation reports ensuring clarity technical accuracy and sound judgement in conclusions and assumptions.
- Manage valuation engagements end to end including scoping execution review and delivery while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Work collaboratively with the Deals team nationally providing valuation input as part of broader transaction engagements where required.
- Support and mentor junior team members contributing to capability development within the valuations discipline.
About You
- Manager level experience (i.e. 5-7 years) within a corporate finance deals or M&A advisory environment with the majority of experience focused on the valuation of businesses equity interests and intangible assets.
- Strong proven technical capability of valuation methodologies financial accounting and financial modelling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong report writing skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and workstreams while maintaining attention to detail and quality outputs.
- Comfortable working in a national collaborative model.
- Professional accreditation such as CA CFA or equivalent preferred.
