Manager, State Sales

Drive commercial performance across your territory leading a high-performing team that connects Novo Nordisks therapies to the healthcare professionals and patients who need them most.
Your new role
As a State Sales Manager you will take ownership of sales performance across Brisbane Sunshine Coast Toowoomba and far north Queensland leading and developing your established team of sales representatives to deliver on ambitious commercial targets. This is a role where strategic thinking meets hands-on leadership and where your results directly expand patient access to life-changing treatments.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading coaching and developing a team of sales representatives to achieve and exceed territory sales targets across Novo Nordisks portfolio
- Developing and executing state-level commercial strategies aligned with national brand plans and local market dynamics
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key healthcare professionals key opinion leaders and stakeholders across your territory
- Analysing market data sales performance and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities and inform decision-making
- Collaborating cross-functionally with marketing medical affairs and market access teams to ensure cohesive commercial execution
- Managing state-level budgets and resources effectively ensuring optimal territory coverage and return on investment
- Ensuring all activities comply with industry regulations Novo Nordisks ethical standards and local guidelines
Your new department
As part of our cardiometabolic commercial field team you will join a collaborative group of driven professionals focused on maximising patient access to our therapies in diabetes obesity and cardiovascular care. Your team plays a critical role in translating brand strategies into real-world impact at the state level working closely with internal partners and external stakeholders to deliver results that matter.
Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for a commercially minded leader who thrives on developing people and delivering results in a fast-paced purpose-driven environment. You will bring:
- Minimum 3years experience of leading and developing high-performing sales teams
- Significant experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales
- Strong strategic and analytical capabilities with the ability to translate data insights into actionable territory plans
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across healthcare professionals and cross-functional partners
- A bachelors degree in business life sciences or a related field (advanced degree is a plus)
- Deep knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry landscape including regulatory and compliance requirements
- Outstanding communication coaching and people leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others
- An Australian citizen or permanent resident
