Were looking for an experienced leader to join our Digital Information Office and help shape how we approach cyber security across the organisation. This team plays an important role in protecting our systems data and peoplesupporting the delivery of critical services across NSW.
As Manager Security Engineering youll lead a team responsible for designing building and maintaining our security controls across network identity and infrastructure environments. Youll set the direction for security engineering work closely with technical specialists and stakeholders and help drive continuous improvement in how we manage cyber risk. Its a fast-paced high-impact role where youll balance priorities navigate complexity and help us stay resilient in an evolving security landscape

What you will bring to the role
- Experience leading security engineering or cyber security teams and delivering secure reliable outcomes
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and work with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Confidence working in complex environments managing competing priorities and guiding teams through change
- A strong understanding of security frameworks controls and technologies across network identity and infrastructure domains
- The ability to provide clear practical advice to support decision making and improve security outcomes
What is an essential requirement:
- Tertiary qualifications in computer science information technology or a related technical field and/or equivalent experience
