About the opportunity

The Manager Infrastructure Services is responsible for the strategic planning delivery and ongoing management of the Universitys enterprise IT infrastructure including networks unified communications data centres and associated platforms such as electrical and mechanical services. The role ensures the provision of secure reliable scalable and cost-effective infrastructure services that support day-to-day operations campus development and broader institutional objectives. The position provides leadership for the IT delivery of capital works and campus-based projects including relocations refurbishments and consolidations ensuring infrastructure outcomes are effectively coordinated and aligned with project and organisational requirements.

What youll do:

• Manage the delivery maintenance and continuous improvement of the Universitys statewide IT infrastructure services.
• Coordinate the lifecycle management of infrastructure assets including planning upgrades maintenance and decommissioning.
• Lead the delivery of infrastructure components for campus projects and capital works initiatives.
• Provide high-level technical advice and guidance to stakeholders and internal teams translating business requirements into effective infrastructure solutions.
• Manage vendor relationships service agreements and procurement activities for infrastructure services.

What were looking for:

• Demonstrated expertise in IT Infrastructure and Operational technologies such as network infrastructure services Unified Communications technologies cloud technologies and management and monitoring platforms.
• Expert knowledge in data centres including all aspects of electrical distribution generators battery backups mechanical cooling systems and security and the building infrastructure required.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles risk management and compliance frameworks.
• Proven leadership in managing technical teams driving succession planning and mentoring while delivering complex IT and capital works projects and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Willingness to work outside standard hours when required for critical incidents or infrastructure upgrades.
• Ability to obtain and maintain relevant security clearances where applicable.

Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 8 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $152033 comprising base salary within the range of $114282 to $129943 plus 17% superannuation.
