Lead the frontline of cyber defence for a global industrial leader.
As our Manager Cyber Operations youll shape and elevate a 24/7 Security Operations Centre driving smarter threat detection and rapid response across IT and OT environmentswhile harnessing AI and automation to deliver real measurable impact where it matters most.
This role will be a hybrid role working at both our Melbourne Street (South Brisbane) and Kerry Road (Archerfield) branches.
In this role you will:
Lead a safety-first high-performance team aligned to business priorities
Drive SOC operations delivering 24/7 monitoring detection and response
Improve key metrics (MTTD MTTR) and overall security performance
Manage SOC vendors SLAs and cost optimisation
Implement AI and automation to enhance detection and response
Oversee and optimise security tools and platforms
Lead incident response and strengthen threat detection capabilities
Ensure integration and visibility across IT and OT environments
Deliver clear reporting on risk performance and outcomes
Drive continuous improvement compliance and SOC transformation

About You
A successful teammate will have experience in:
Tertiary qualifications in IT or Business
Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP CISM CISA or GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
SOC experience is essential
Aligned industry experience is desirable
Demonstrated cultural awareness and adaptability to effectively operate across global environments
Proven experience managing third party vendors
Hands-on experience administering and optimizing enterprise security tools such as Darktrace Delinea EDR/XDR platforms SIEM NDR or equivalent technologies
Direct experience implementing AI/ML-based security detection and SOAR automation platforms with measurable MTTD/MTTR improvements
