Job Summary

Manager Cyber Intelligence

  • Temporary full time (35hpw) opportunity for up to 18 months with the possibility for ongoing.
  • Clerk Grade 11/12 - $154231to $178369base salary p/a plus superannuation and annual leave loading.
  • SydneyCBD and Olympic Park locations - hybrid working conditions anda50% office working arrangements may be available in line with the DCS Flexible Working Policy.

About the role

CyberSecurity NSW is seeking aManager CyberIntelligence to lead the Cyber Intelligenceteam and to continuouslyimprove cyber intelligence capabilities to strengthen the organisations cyberresilience and support informed cyber security decisions.

This positionrequires work outside standard hours on an on-call roster and during cyberincidents.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing cyber intelligence capability to deliver timely actionable and trusted intelligence services while fostering a culture of continuous improvement collaboration and professional development.
  • Direct the delivery and continuous improvement of cyber intelligence services and initiatives to strengthen organisational cyber resilience security outcomes.
  • Provide strategic advice and intelligence-led insights to inform executive decision-making organisational priorities and long-term planning.
  • Drive the development and continuous improvement of intelligence frameworks methodologies and analytical capabilities to enhance the quality and effectiveness of intelligence outputs.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships and stakeholder relationships to strengthen information sharing collaboration and coordinated responses to cyber threats and risks.
  • Lead the identification assessment and communication of cyber threats and risks to support proactive risk management and informed decision-making.
  • Guide strategic analysis of the evolving cyber threat landscape and emerging technologies to inform organisational preparedness and resilience.
  • Represent the organisation in strategic forums and stakeholder engagements to influence cyber security outcomes and promote best practice.

Essentialrequirements

  • Must be an Australian Citizen with an ability to obtain and maintain an appropriate security clearance at Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) or higher and willingness to undergo a criminal history and identity verification and ongoing probity checks as a condition of employment.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Australian state and federal cyber security policies and frameworks.
  • Willingness and ability to work outside standard business hours when required to support operational and incident response activities.
