We are currently seeking an experienced and professional Management Accountant to join our Bayswater Perth-based team in a broad end-to-end shared services finance function which will see you will support multiple entities and business leaders across the group.

About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager this hands-on role will see you lead management reporting forecasting and business analysis across NEPEANs shared services finance function. You will partner and work closely with senior leadership operations and project stakeholders to provide clear commercial insights challenge assumptions and support decisions that improve financial performance across a growing global manufacturing business.

About You
You are an experienced Management Accountant with a proven ability to deliver accurate timely reporting and analysis that drives both operational and financial performance.

Ideally with a background in manufacturing / project accounting you enjoy partnering with production teams translating financial results into clear insights that support informed decision-making. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are confident balancing hands-on analysis with a broader commercial perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

Month-end and reporting

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and performance reports.
  • Lead month-end close including reconciliations intercompany transactions GST revenue and COGS analysis.

Budgeting forecasting and analysis

  • Lead budgeting forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Monitor cash flow and working capital performance.

Operational/project finance

  • Review project budgets forecasts margins WIP labour recovery and material costs.
  • Partner with operations to explain performance and key business drivers.
  • Improve product costing inventory and labour recovery processes.

Commercial decision support

  • Support pricing business cases capital expenditure and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide insights that challenge assumptions and improve performance.

Controls compliance and improvement

  • Support finance transformation process improvement and reporting standardisation.
  • Assist with statutory reporting audit and compliance requirements.

Skills & Experience

  • CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Degree qualification in Accounting Finance or a related discipline.
  • Around 5 years experience in management accounting ideally within manufacturing engineering or FMCG environments.
  • Strong experience in budgeting forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Sound understanding of cost accounting inventory management and operational finance.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems (Pronto or Microsoft Dynamics 365 highly regarded).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse data and provide commercially focused recommendations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence non-finance audiences.
  • High attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Self-motivated adaptable and capable of succeeding in a growing and evolving business.
