Job Description:

We are looking for a special kind of person a St Vincents kind of person. Someone who puts compassion connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do.

As a Maintenance Officer youll be part of an experienced engaged and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming professional and supportive care experience for the residents of our Hawthorn facility.

St Vincents Care Services Hawthorn (locally known as Mary Mackillop Aged Care) is a 91-bed facility located in Hawthorn East just 7km from Melbournes city centre with the added convenience of Camberwell Junction right around the corner.

Monday-Friday

8am-4pm

Things that work for us:

  • Trade qualifications in carpentry or plumbing (preferable).

  • Ability to perform maintenance works.

  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to problem solve

  • Ability to prioritise own schedule of activities.

  • Aged Health or Community care experience preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills strong attention to detail and sound computer skills.

  • Understanding of Aged Care resident rights and responsibilities and ability to follow directives as per care plan.

  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (within 6 months).

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role.
