Maintenance Officer
Job Summary
Synergie Australia are seaching for a motivated and resident-focused Maintenance Offiver to join our team at our aged-care Keperra location.
In this role you will play a key part in supporting the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the village ensuring a safe well-maintained and welcoming environment for residents.
Important Details:
- Monday to Friday
- Flexible shift times (7-3pm 8-4pm 9-5pm)
- Ongoing casual work
- $35.15 an hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and carrying out general maintenance repairs and inspections across the retirement village (e.g. powerwashing lighting lock changes)
- Assisting with basic handyperson tasks including minor repairs and installations
- Ensuring compliance with Environment Health & Safety (EHS) procedures
- Responding promptly and professionally to resident maintenance requests
- Liaising with external contractors to ensure works are completed on time
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and updating systems
- Providing general support and assisting with ad hoc tasks as required
What you bring to Synergie:
- Previous experience in a similar role (e.g. maintenance handyman trades or trade assistant)
- No trade experience required open to learning new skills
- Clear and confident communication skills
- Practical knowledge of tools equipment and general maintenance processes
- Basic to intermediate computer skills (Excel Word Outlook apps)
- A current Australian drivers licence (essential)
- A current flu vacinnation(or willingness to obtain)
