The Opportunity
Are you an experienced maintenance leader with strong supervisory skills and a passion for heavy mining equipment maintenance Thiess is seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Leading Hand to join our high-performing team at Caval Ridge.
As a key member of the Caval Ridge team youll be responsible for leading a maintenance crew to safely and efficiently maintain a world-class mining fleet while supporting operational performance and productivity across site.
Roster: 7/7 (Days & Nights) Location: Caval Ridge QLD Employment Type: Full Time
As the Maintenance Leading Hand you will:
- Lead and supervise a maintenance crew ensuring all work is completed safely efficiently and to a high standard.
- Perform servicing repairs diagnostics and maintenance activities across Caterpillar Liebherr and Komatsu mining equipment.
- Coordinate maintenance activities manage parts requirements and provide supervisory coverage for the Maintenance Supervisor when required.
About you
- Current G1 G8 G9 Supervisor Competencies and G2 with demonstrated experience supervising maintenance activities on an operational mine site.
- Relevant Diesel Fitter or Heavy Vehicle trade qualification.
- Proven experience working on Caterpillar Liebherr and Komatsu mining equipment.
- Demonstrated experience in servicing maintenance breakdown repairs component change-outs and equipment diagnostics.
- Strong safety focus attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Experience using JDE OEM computer-based systems and interpreting oil analysis reports.
