Maintenance Fitter Boilermaker

Our client who is a leading food manufacture & supplier of fresh poultry & prepared food solutions is seeking to appoint aMaintenance Fitter / Boilermakerto join our client based in Bannockburn Geelong. Casual start with a view to permanency for the right candidate Pay rate $50 to $55 (pending experience) As a Maintenance Fitter you will provide support to the Maintenance Manager and Production team by providing quality and efficient maintenance services during planned maintenance breakdowns and the installation of new plant and equipment.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Relevant Mechanical trade qualifications
• MIG & TIG welding - Stainless steel & aluminium
• Forklift license EWP license (desirable)
• Fabrication Skills MIG TIG and ARC welding(desirable)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent oral written and interpersonal skills
• Strong commitment to identify and drive continues improvement
• A demonstrated commitment to health and safety
• Ability to drive positive change as well as influence and support
• Proven fault-finding skills and the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment
• Understanding of HACCP GMP and Australian Standards
• Ability to execute and adhere to Preventative Maintenance programs
• Ability to utilise a computer-based Maintenance management system
• Full Australian work rights

Key Responsibilties:

• MIG & TIG welding - Steel stainless & aluminium
• Day-to-day operations of the plant
• Conduct general maintenance & repairs adhering to the prevenative maintenance program
• Attend to breakdown situations in a timely & efficient manner adhering to OHS & QA systems
• Installation & fabrication of machinery & equipment
• Control costs scheduling & development of maintenance activities (desirable)
