Maintenance Crew Civil Workers Sydney Southern Network

The Maintenance Crew team undertake routine and urgent civil maintenance works to keep motorway and tunnel assets safe clean and serviceable.

The roles support the Maintenance Supervisor through site inspections landscaping cleaning incident clean-up and traffic control activities. 

Full-time permanent positions working to a rotating roster pattern to accommodate maintenance activities and night closures providing 24/7 coverage on the assets.

Qualifications :

Key role experiences competencies and qualifications: 

• Civil construction and maintenance experience including landscaping experience. 

• Practical problem-solving skills a strong customer and results focus and ability to work effectively as part of a crew. 

• Thorough understanding of and commitment to WHS and environmental requirements. 

• Current unrestricted NSW drivers licence and licences or tickets appropriate to assigned activities. 

Mandatory training and certifications 

• Construction White Card; 

• Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS);

• Manual handling;

• Planned maintenance reporting software experience; 

• General Evacuation and First Response; major emergency exercises and incident response preparedness; coordination of breakdowns and emergencies;

• Use of electronic communication systems; 

• First Aid including defibrillator use and CPR. 

• Confined Space Awareness (with Breathing Apparatus);

• Hazardous Materials Awareness and Safety Data Sheets (SDS);

• Working safely at heights and EWP 11 m and above high risk work licences. 

• Manage Personal Stressors in the Work Environment;

• Apply Fatigue Management Strategies. 

Preferred qualifications and training 

• Road Sweeper Operation; additional traffic management tickets.

• MR Licence Fork Lift Licence Road Sweeper Operation experience and additional traffic management tickets.
