Our Sydney depot is seeking an experience and proactive PM Load Planner to join our high performing operations this pivotal role youll be responsible for coordinating freight movements building efficient loads and ensuring customer requirements are met while maximising fleet utilisation and maintaining compliance with Chain of Responsibility and transport regulations.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced transport environment where no two days are the same collaborating with drivers allocators operations teams customers and the National Network Group to keep freight moving safely and efficiently.
Afternoon Roster: Monday - Friday 4:00pm - 2:00am
What Youll Do:
Plan build and optimise loads to maximise vehicle utilisation
Coordinate linehaul and PUD delivery freight movements across the network
Manage customer transport requests freight bookings and time slot requirements.
Reconcile load sheets against manifests to ensure data integrity.
Ensure planned and actual fridge temperature settings are compatible with the type of freight travelling in the trailers.
Liaise with operational teams and the NNG to ensure service expectations are achieved.
Monitor load progress and respond effectively to changing operational requirements.
Support resource equipment and fleet planning activities.
Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) fatigue management vehicle mass limits and maintenance requirements.
Monitor and maintain safe operating practices across transport operations.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.
Perform general administrative duties as required.
What You Bring:
Previous experience in transport planning load planning fleet allocation or transport administration
Strong Problem-Solving ability
Be able to prioritise high volume of work and work in a fast-paced environment
Have excellent time management skills
Have exceptional planning and organisational skills
Have a positive attitude with the willingness to learn
Be a team player
A strong customer focus
Sound knowledge of metropolitan and regional freight networks
Have a genuine care factor for the needs of the internal and external customer
