Litigation and External Dispute Resolution Coordinator

As a Litigation & Dispute Resolution Coordinator at TAL youll manage triage registration and allocation of legal advice referrals and route external dispute resolution and litigation matters across Individual Life and Group Life & Retirement practices supporting two Heads of LEDR. Your sound judgement prioritisation and clear stakeholder communication across Claims Underwriting Product and other teams ensures timely compliant legal handling that protects customers and the business. By keeping disputes moving and legal risk controlled you directly enable TALs mission to help Australians live with confidence through fair reliable insurance outcomes.

In This Role You Will:

• Triage incoming legal and EDR referrals to prioritise risk and ensure urgent matters get prompt legal attention.
• Allocate matters to the right corporate counsel to optimise capacity and accelerate resolution.
• Coordinate with Claims Underwriting Product and counsel to secure timely evidence and decisions that reduce legal exposure.
• Advance litigation and dispute progress through proactive case management to shorten resolution timelines.
• Deliver practical legal supportchronologies drafting research and document managementto enable efficient counsel action.
• Identify trends from referrals and disputes to surface systemic issues and improve customer outcomes.

Qualifications :

• Demonstrate relevant coordination or paralegal experience in legal insurance or financial services or transferable equivalent.
• Organise high volumes of competing priorities accurately to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Apply sound judgement to assess complexity identify gaps and escalate risks that protect customers and the business.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail in data entry document management and written communications.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders to enable timely decisions.
• Handle confidential information with discretion and use matter management systems to keep records accurate.
