About the role

Baptistcare Carey Gardens are seeking an experienced Lifestyle Coordinatorto oversee the Lifestyle and Activities calendar and lifestyle care planning. Therole involves developing implementing participating and monitoring a Lifestyle program that optimizes the quality of life for our residents.

You will coordinate participate and manage events and group activities and lifestyle resources build and develop volunteers train and support staff in activities to ensure provision of optimum level of person-centred service to all clients.

You will drive the engagement and participation of residents into a range of social recreational and cultural activities as well as mental health and wellbeing programs that empower our residents choices and planning and organising all recreational activity programs you will ensure individual residents needs values spiritual and cultural preferences are taken into account.

This is a permanent part time position offering 60 hours per fortnight

About You

• You hold a Diploma of Leisure and Health Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or related/equivalent qualification
• You have previous experience working in the aged care sector
• You have proven Leadership experience in aged care or a community setting
• You possess strong communication problem-solving and interpersonal skills
• You have knowledge of current Aged Care Quality Standards
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications
• You hold a current Drivers license
• Willingness to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check or provide current NDIS Worker screening clearance
