About the Facility

Parklands Aged Care is a 72bed home colocated with a retirement village set among landscaped gardens in a peaceful leafy environment. Residents enjoy spacious rooms villagestyle amenities such as café and hairdresser and a strong sense of community connection.
We are looking for Lifestyle Assistant to join our aged care team at Parklands Aged Care in Part Time capacity. To be successful in this role candidates must already have a Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or be working towards completing this course.

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Lifestyle Assistant to join our team and help create engaging meaningful experiences for our this rewarding role you will support the emotional social and physical wellbeing of residents through activities that bring joy connection and purpose.

This is a hands-on people-focused role ideal for someone who is energetic creative and passionate about improving quality of life for older people.

What You Will Be Doing

• Plan coordinate and deliver engaging lifestyle and recreational activities
• Encourage resident participation in group and one-on-one activities
• Support social cultural and community engagement opportunities
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and understand their interests and preferences
• Assist in organising events outings and special celebrations
• Work collaboratively with care staff to support residents overall wellbeing
• Maintain accurate activity records and documentation
• Create a positive inclusive and enjoyable environment for all residents

What You Will Bring

• Certificate IV in Leisure & Health or similar
• Experience in lifestyle activities aged care or community services (preferred)
• A genuine passion for working with older people
• Creative thinking and ability to engage residents in meaningful ways
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive energetic and compassionate approach
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A National Police Clearance or NDIS Screening Check or willingness to obtain this
