About the role:

• Join the Property Law team and advise on a broad mix of property planning construction infrastructure and commercial legal matters.
• Report to a Director with exposure to junior lawyers and key internal stakeholders across the university.
• Draft review and negotiate contracts deeds and agreements largely relating to property and commercial matters.
• Advise on leasing property transactions development projects procurement construction-related matters and planning issues.
• Support legal risk management across active projects including identifying practical commercial and legally appropriate solutions.
• Assist with legal research precedent development template updates and advice on legislative or regulatory changes affecting the university.
• Contribute to internal legal education including seminars and workshops for university staff.

The ideal candidate:

• Minimum 7 years PQE
• Experience with property transactions leasing planning issues construction contracts procurement development projects or infrastructure-related matters will be highly regarded
• Confident reviewing legal documents managing competing priorities and giving practical advice
• Comfortable working with internal stakeholders and supporting matters from start to finish

The ideal candidate will have some in-house experience but applications from lawyers from private practice or government are also welcome.
