About the role:

The Lecturer Occupational Therapy contributes to teaching research and service within the discipline of occupational therapy. The role delivers teaching develops curriculum undertakes research and contributes to academic administration. Operating with increasing independence the role integrates teaching research and engagement to support student outcomes and scholarly contribution aligned to University priorities.

As a Lecturer in Occupational Therapy you will:

• Design and deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences including the development of curriculum learning materials and assessments aligned with occupational therapy standards
• Assess student work and provide timely constructive feedback to support learning outcomes and student success
• Continuously improve teaching practice through reflection student feedback and innovative approaches to learning and teaching
• Undertake independent research and contribute to scholarly outputs including publications and collaborative research projects
• Engage with industry community and professional stakeholders to support teaching research and the broader discipline
• Knowledge understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and contemporary issues related to First Nations Peoples

To be successful as a Lecturer youll have:

• PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience
• Current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
• At least three years experience in occupational therapy practice
• Demonstrated ability to deliver teaching and contribute to curriculum development
• Emerging track record of research or scholarly outputs
• Knowledge understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and contemporary issues related to First Nations Peoples
