Lecturer (Level B) in Nutrition and Dietetics
Job Summary
As a Lecturer in Nutrition and Dietetics you will play an important role in developing knowledgeable capable and compassionate health professionals. Through innovative teaching authentic assessment and strong industry connections you will help students translate evidence into practice and prepare them to respond to evolving health and workforce needs.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Delivering contemporary learning experiences informed by professional practice and emerging evidence.
- Guiding and supporting students throughout their academic and professional development.
- Coordinating courses and contributing to a cohesive high quality program experience.
- Developing partnerships that expand practical learning and graduate employment opportunities.
- Collaborating with colleagues to strengthen teaching quality scholarship and the Schools profile.
This is a continuing full time position primarily based at Griffith University Gold Coast. As Griffith is a multi-site university you may be required to work across other locations.
Griffith Universitys sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul Yuggera Jagera Turrbal Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level B range $117076 - $139031 per annum 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $136979 - $162667 per annum.
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role you will bring strong discipline knowledge a passion for student learning and the ability to connect contemporary evidence with professional practice. You will also demonstrate a collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering an inclusive and high quality student experience.
You will have:
- A doctoral or masters qualification in nutrition and/or dietetics the credential of Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) or eligibility to become accredited as a dietitian in Australia and substantial professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching training or supporting learning in a university clinical or professional environment.
- Contemporary knowledge of nutrition and dietetics practice with the ability to translate evidence into engaging learning experiences.
- Strong communication collaboration and organisational skills including the capacity to coordinate courses and academic activities.
- A commitment to reflective practice educational innovation and the continuous improvement of student outcomes.
