The Mental Health and Wellness team provides support to a range of clients across Perth-metro through varying wellness programs. The Karlup Service provides wrap-around support to women and children who are recovering from or experiencing Family and Domestic Violence.

The Learning Support Coordinator will share their time equally across both services to ensure a consistently high level of service and quality care in line with the principles of the Karlup and Mental Health & Wellness models of care. The Learning Support Coordinator will provide mentorship to both teams across the services and provide specialised support to staff who require additional skill and knowledge this role you will:

• Work in consultation with the People and Culture Team to support with the delivery of learning opportunities relevant to service needs that can be delivered in the form of individual and group sessions in line with the adult learning principles.
• Coordinate capability mapping and training needs analysis across both services and develop resources and learning opportunities as needed.
• Develop practice guidelines where relevant in partnership with the Service Leads across both services.
• Support the completion of relevant audits through a learning and development lens and provide individual and group learning to meet service standards.
• Demonstrate a high level of autonomy to work independently plan organise and complete work.
• Monitor evaluate and assess learning and development effectiveness through feedback from staff. Work with service staff to identify suitable training courses according to service needs.
• Support with staff onboarding requirements for any new staff being inducted into services. Provide ongoing support to staff to complete and renew any relevant training throughout the probation period and beyond.
• Liaise with the Service Lead on the current development needs of individuals and groups within the Karlup Service and Mental Health & Wellness Service.
• Use regular networking and community activities to promote the service to enable effective referrals to the service and to stay informed of client referral options.

This is a fixed-term full-time position working 76 hours per fortnight for 6-months.

The successful applicants will be required to meet the following criteria:

• Relevant qualifications in a related discipline at degree or diploma level or demonstrated work experience at this level.
• Demonstrated understanding of complex issues facing people who experience complex life circumstances such as homelessness AOD use family and domestic violence and mental health issues.
• Willingness and ability to work within and contribute to the vision mission core values and the guiding principles of Ruah.
• Knowledge and understanding of diversity gender and social inclusion particularly Aboriginal culture.
• High level written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and client reporting systems.
• Skills in reflective practice and highly developed reporting writing using analytical reasoning.

• A salary aligned with Level 4 of the Ruah Enterprise Agreement (and the SCHADS Award) starting at $88372.
