About the project

Working in a strategic Alliance with Thiess and Harmony you will form part of a collaborative team driven by shared objectives and values to deliver operational excellence at the Eva Copper Mine Project.

The Alliance will set new benchmarks for safe sustainable and efficient copper development supported by commitments to local employment and procurement new-to-industry and Indigenous workforce development and meaningful engagement in the local community.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of defining building and operating a major mining operation.

The Eva Copper Mine Project is located on the traditional lands of the Kalkadoon People in North West Queensland approximately 75 km north-west of Cloncurry and about 95 km north-east of Mount Isa.

The Project is an iron-oxide copper-gold resource featuring multiple open pits and is poised to become the largest greenfield copper mine in Queensland.

The opportunity

As a key member of theEva Copper Allianceteamyoullbe responsible Support the Production Supervisor and support safe efficient production operations.

Roster:2:2 Location: Eva Copper QLD Employment Type:Permanent fulltime

As the Leading Hand you will:

• Support the Production Supervisor by leading a mining crew to achieve production targets safely and efficiently.
• Step up as a supervisor when needed.
• Perform regular inspections and complete reports as per site policies.
• Coordinate production operators and equipment to meet production schedules.
• Apply mining practices to help reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Look for ways to continuously improve

About you

• Experience as a Step-Up Supervisor or Leading Hand in open-cut hard rock mining is highly valued.
• Solid understanding of open-cut mining operations.
• Strong organisational communication and presentation skills with a friendly and motivational approach.
• Proven leadership and people management experience.
• Relevant qualifications in the mining industry.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Verified machinery skills list (training transcripts) LMS documents signed by SSE or Delegate.
• Current S123 and G2 certifications
• Current Drivers Licence
