Whats on offer

We currently have a vacancy for a Leading Hand to join our Metro Civils Infrastructure Services team where you will be working on multiple projects around Sydney metro area.

Youll be a proven leader who can support and motivate site teams ensuring the focus remains on safety quality cost and schedule in the planning and execution of work.

Core responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the development and implementation of SWMS and leading daily pre-start meetings to address all site requirements;

  • Scheduling forecasting procurement and management of materials plant personnel and subcontractors;

  • Coordinating with the engineering team to develop and maintain project programs;

  • Providing weekly/monthly program updates;

  • Recording daily productivity targets and documenting delays and issues;

  • Managing/monitoring project costs;

  • Resolving daily site issues;

  • Identifying hazards and assessing risk through regular safety audits and environmental risk assessments as per Fulton Hogan procedures;

  • Giving feedback to the Project Manager on individual and team performance safety quality and timeliness of work.

How youll connect to the role

  • Experience in delivering profitability on civil construction projects within a safe working environment;

  • Excellent organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines

  • Experience operating a wide variety of plant and machinery along with associated tickets and relevant statement of attainments

  • The ability to positively influence and lead a team up to 10 people;

  • A proven commitment to site safety;

  • Computer literacy with demonstrated ability to complete reports in a timely manner.
