Leading Hand Heavy Diesel Technician Olympic Dam SA

Were on the hunt for an experienced Leading Hand Heavy Diesel Technician to join our crew at Olympic Dam.

Youll play a key role in leading the team keeping the fleet running safely and reliably and making sure maintenance is completed to a high standard.

What Youll Be Working On

Youll be leading a team working across a seriously impressive fleet including:

  • CAT 992K/G Loaders
  • CAT 785C Haul Trucks
  • CAT 14M & 16M Graders
  • CAT D10T Dozers
  • Komatsu PC2000 Excavators
  • Atlas Copco T45 Drills
  • Scania R620 Road Trains & Belly Dump Trailers

From preventative maintenance and diagnostics through to major repairs youll help keep equipment available reliable and production ready.

Youll also be responsible for supporting the team on the tools coordinating daily maintenance activities providing technical guidance and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.

What Were Looking For

  • Heavy Diesel Trade Qualification (Cert III)
  • Previous Leading Hand or senior technician experience
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Experience working on heavy earthmoving equipment
  • Mining experience highly regarded
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • A safety-first mindset and pride in quality workmanship
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritise maintenance activities
  • Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical Drug & Alcohol Screen and Police Check
  • Full Australian Working Rights
