As we continue to expand we are seeking an experienced Lead Speech Pathologist to guide clinical practice mentor clinicians and contribute to service development at our Castle Hill this role you will play a pivotal role in delivering growing and improving our speech pathology services. You will combine advanced clinical care for participants with complex communication and swallowing needs with the opportunity to contribute to best-practice clinical pathways and resources. You will support a collaborative team culture by providing mentorship to emerging clinicians and AHAs and contributing to the evolution of our service model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality evidence-based communication mealtime and swallowing assessments and interventions across clinic community and educational settings.
  • Model professional excellence and provide informal mentoring and clinical guidance to emerging therapists in the team.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of practice safety and effectiveness specifically managing dysphagia risks and ensuring full NDIS and SPA compliance.
  • Contribute to the design and growth of new speech pathology service streams clinical tools and integrated models of care.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with families external providers and internal multidisciplinary team members.
  • Support efficient practice workflows caseload management and participate in clinical recruitment as the team grows.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology from an accredited institution recognised by Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
  • 5 years experience as a Speech Pathologist.
  • Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status with SPA.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check Working With Children Check and National Police Check (or ability to obtain one).
  • Valid Australian drivers licence and unrestricted working rights in Australia.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certifications will be an advantage.
  • Advanced clinical report writing skills and a versatile clinical approach combining a warm playful style for young clients with an empowering and respectful interaction with adults.
