Job Summary

The Role

We have a rewarding opportunity for a talented junior lawyer to join our growing and highly collaborative Restructuring & Insolvency (R&I) team in Sydney on an initial 12 month contract.

Working collaboratively with our broader Disputes group this is a back-end R&I role involving formal insolvency appointments advisory work as well as a significant amount of R&I litigation in the Supreme and Federal Courts including working on a complex commercial litigation matter in the Supreme Court of New South Wales.

Working closely with leading partner Maria OBrien and other senior practitioners this role offers a rewarding opportunity to develop both your legal and client relationship skills in a top tier law firm within tier-1 rated R&I and Disputes practices under the mentorship of industry experts.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 1 to 4 years PQE as a lawyer with strong academic performance;

  • Commercial litigation experience gained within a leading commercial law firm. Exposure to R&I litigation ideal but not essential;

  • Familiarity and experience using Relativity or similar platform;

  • High quality and technically-sound drafting skills with excellent attention to detail;

  • Excellent communication skills and a positive team-oriented mindset;

  • A proactive and dedicated approach to client service with strong time and project management skills.
