About the Role
Job Location: 1 Spring Street Melbourne
Under supervision you will undertake research and provide high quality advice across areas including administrative law statutory interpretation public inquires and investigations human rights and discrimination planning and environment law and FOI and privacy. You will also take an active role in the conduct of litigation including merits review personal injury and property damage claims coronial inquests and judicial review.
The role offers exposure to complex public law issues providing an excellent opportunity to build your legal expertise in a collaborative environment. You will contribute to strategic legal advice litigation management and client-focused service delivery while working as part of a supportive team committed to achieving strong outcomes for government.

Qualifications and experience
- An Australian lawyer within the meaning of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (Victoria) holding or eligible to hold an Australian practising certificate. (Mandatory)
- Demonstrated capability in providing legal advice and/or litigation management under supervision in two or more of the following key practice areas: administrative law and statutory interpretation; litigation and dispute resolution; public inquiries and investigations; human rights and discrimination; or FOI and privacy. (Mandatory)
