About The Opportunity

We are seeking multiple Labourers to join our Civil operations team. These hands-on roles support the delivery of Councils road drainage and civil maintenance works that keep our community safe and connected.

You will perform a variety of general labouring and operational tasks under general supervision operate light mechanical plant and tools and contribute to maintaining clean safe and efficient work sites. These roles play an important part in ensuring Councils civil infrastructure is delivered to a high standard.

About You

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Relevant experience and/or on-the-job training appropriate to the work area.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely perform physical labouring tasks.
  • Understanding of basic workplace safety and manual handling practices.
  • Current Drivers Licence (C Class).
  • Possession of a Construction Induction (White/Blue) Card.
  • Basic competencies or tickets for the operation of light mechanical plant and hand tools (e.g. roller sweeper or similar small/light plant and whipper snipper jackhammer etc.) in accordance with the award classification definitions.

Desirable:

  • Class LR MR or HR Drivers Licence.
  • First Aid and CPR Certification.
  • Traffic Control Accreditation.
