About the Facility
Parklands Aged Care is a 72bed home colocated with a retirement village set among landscaped gardens in a peaceful leafy environment. Residents enjoy spacious rooms villagestyle amenities such as café and hairdresser and a strong sense of community connection.
We are looking for Kitchen Hands to join our aged care team at Parklands Aged Care in a (permanent parttime) capacity.
About the Role
As a Kitchen Hand you will play an important role behind the scenes helping ensure our residents enjoy safe nutritious and well-presented meals every day. Your work will directly support the comfort and wellbeing of those in our care. This is a fast-paced hands-on role perfect for someone who enjoys staying active and being part of a supportive team.
What You Will Be Doing
- Assist with basic food preparation including washing peeling and plating
- Support meal service and ensure timely delivery of food to residents
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen including dishes utensils and equipment
- Follow food safety hygiene and infection control standards at all times
- Assist with stock rotation storage and kitchen organisation
- Work closely with cooks and chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Help create a clean safe and welcoming environment
What You Will Bring
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting (preferred but not essential)
- Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
- Good time management and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and reliability
- A National Police Clearance or NDIS Screening Check or willingness to obtain this
- Understanding of food safety practices (or willingness to obtain certification)
