About the role
CMW Geosciences is seeking an enthusiastic Student or JuniorDraftsperson to join our Perth team on a parttime basis (3 days per week). This role is ideal for a TAFE student who is currently studying drafting or a related discipline and is eager to gain handson experience within a professional engineering and geosciences consultancy.
The successful student will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and drafters contributing to real project deliverables while developing practical skills in geotechnical and environmental drafting. This position offers a supportive learning environment onthejob mentoring and exposure to a diverse range of projects across infrastructure mining energy and land development.
We would welcome the chance to partner with your institute to connect with students who are motivated reliable and looking to kickstart their drafting career in a dynamic consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist engineers and drafters with preparation of technical drawings and documentation
Contribute to geotechnical and environmental drafting deliverables
Support project teams across a variety of sectors including infrastructure mining and land development
Ensure accuracy and quality of work in line with company standards
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
About You
Currently or completed studying drafting or a related discipline (TAFE or equivalent)
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
Reliable motivated and eager to gain practical industry experience
Ability to manage time effectively while balancing study commitments
