ITC Homes Coordinator

The ITC Homes Coordinator plays a critical leadership role within MacKillops Permanency Support Program (PSP) Wollongong supporting the delivery of highquality Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) for children and young people with complex needs.

About the role

MacKillop Family Services is seeking an experienced Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) Coordinator to join our Permanency Support Program (PSP) Wollongong.

MacKillops Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) programs provide a safe supportive and therapeutic environment for children and young people with high and complex needs.

As a Coordinator you will support a dedicated team of House Supervisors and Residential Care staff ensuring the day to day care and support provided to both staff and young people is consistent safe and empowering.

This role is an important part of our ITC program and reports directly to the Area Manger.

This is a full-time ongoing opportunity based in Wollongong NSW. The position reports to the Area Manager.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A tertiary qualification in social work social science community services youth work management or relevant field.
• Substantial leadership experience in an equivalent role and demonstrated skills and experience in therapeutic residential care house management service in the Permanency Support Program and ITC will be highly regarded.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise lead and support a team of House Supervisors and Residential Care staff.
• Ability to participate collaboratively and constructively within teams of peers staff and other stakeholders as well as initiative and effective personal judgement when working alone.
• Knowledge and understanding of child protection OOHC trauma attachment and resilience theory; and child and adolescent development.
• Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the issues faced by Aboriginal children young people and their families.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver positive outcomes for vulnerable children young people and their families.

You must have a:

• Valid and current Drivers Licence;
• Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
• Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
• Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles).
• Completion of four (4) additional mandatory competencies (Residential Care Skill Set)
