Service Provider Pre-Sales Resident Engineer

Role: Act as a trusted technical advocate for key Service Provider customers in Melbourne developing and validating technical solutions using Ciscos SP portfolio

Key Responsibilities:

Developing technical solutions building labs and creating demo or Proof of Concept (POV) environments. configure Cisco Service Provider products to meet specific customer requirements acting as a trusted technical advocate to ensure successful business outcomes for key Service Provider clients in Melbourne.

Required Skill Set:

5 years in the networking and telecommunications industry specifically with Cisco products or key competitor offerings.

Strong background in Service Provider networking including OSPF/ISIS BGP Segment Routing Layer 2 & 3 VPNs and QoS.

Typically requires a BS/BA (EE/CS). Must hold a CCNP (Service Provider or Networking) Cisco Certified DevNet Professional or CCDP.

Soft Skills: Excellent listening communication and analytical problem-solving skills with a team-oriented mindset.

Preferred/Highly Regarded Attributes

Automation: Strong skills in Service Provider routing and network automation.

Programming: Network programming proficiency in Python and Ansible.

Advanced Certification: CCDE or CCIE status is considered a significant plus.
