What we are looking for:
Were looking for an IT Infrastructure Officer to support the availability performance and security of Councils IT infrastructure with a particular emphasis on implementing administering and optimising CCTV networks AV equipment meetingroom technology and mediaproduction environments.
Youll work closely with the IT Infrastructure Coordinator project teams and external vendors to ensure our new buildings communication and media capabilities are reliable secure and ready for future growth.
What your day will look like:
- Implement administer and maintain Councils Windows-based IT environments including systems CCTV cameras NVRs storage monitoring platforms and network connectivity.
- Assist with infrastructure asset lifecycle management including investigation procurement configuration testing installation and maintenance of CCTV/AV hardware and related network components.
- Support cybersecurity activities through patching policy compliance awareness initiatives and operational security practices.
- Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity readiness through documentation testing and improvement of recovery processes.
- Deliver IT infrastructure projects by preparing business cases coordinating tasks conducting testing and providing stakeholder support.

What youll need for success:
- Demonstrated capability to administer and support Windows-based IT environments including servers networks cloud infrastructure and Microsoft 365.
- Experience supporting corporate systems databases and infrastructure tools with the ability to interpret and apply IT policies procedures security requirements and technical standards.
- Welldeveloped interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a small technical team engage constructively with stakeholders and provide clear accurate technical advice guidance and user training.
- Strong organisational analytical and problemsolving skills including the ability to investigate issues and recommend solutions and plan prioritise and document work to meet operational timeframes and service expectations.
Whats nice to have:
- Qualifications in an Information Technology field including CCNA.
- Experience with CCTV systems evidence extraction processes or related technologies.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning cyber security frameworks or cloud infrastructure platforms.
- Experience working in a local government environment.
