In this role youll:
Support the management of Transports 10-year capital investment portfolio helping ensure funding decisions are informed by robust analysis sound governance and reliable data.
Acting as a key source of truth for capital budget information youll work across divisions to manage portfolio changes funding releases budget activities and investment priorities. Youll provide financial analysis and strategic advice that supports executive decision-making and contributes to the effective management of Transports capital program.
Youll also:
- Support the management and maintenance of Transports 10-year capital portfolio.
- Provide financial economic and investment analysis to inform funding and investment decisions.
- Develop financial briefings reports and advice for senior executives and governance committees.
- Support Investment and Assurance Committee evaluations and investment governance activities.
- Assist with business case development funding submissions and portfolio reporting.
- Partner with stakeholders across Transport to identify funding risks opportunities and portfolio impacts.
- Support the coordination validation and upload of original and revised capital budgets within Transport systems including working with initiative owners and stakeholders to align investment portfolio budgets project structures phasing assumptions and funding allocations Analyse complex data and translate insights into practical recommendations.

About you
To be successful in this role youll bring:
- Experience in finance accounting economics investment analysis or capital portfolio management.
- Strong financial analysis and business case development skills.
- Experience with budget development financial systems budget uploads investment governance or large capital programs.
- The ability to work with complex and sometimes imperfect information and provide clear practical advice.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a collaborative tactful and respectful approach.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong data analysis capability.
Highly regarded:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) CPA or equivalent qualification.
- Qualifications in Finance Economics Commerce Accounting or a related discipline.
- Experience within infrastructure government or major capital investment environments.
- Power BI experience.
