Gordon Brothers Industries (GBI) is the largest Industrial Refrigeration (IR) Company in Australia. We have offices in each mainland state and provide complete industrial refrigeration solutions including design construction and comprehensive servicing for a wide range of sectors including mining chemical food and beverage.

We are looking for Project Engineers - Project Managers and Technicians with Industrial refrigeration experience.

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Industrial Refrigeration Technician to support our service operations. Reporting to the Service Team Manager you will bring strong technical capability problemsolving skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned and reactive service maintenance and repairs on commercial refrigeration systems

  • Diagnose faults and implement effective customerfocused solutions

  • Complete all service reporting and documentation accurately and on schedule

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers

  • Participate in training toolbox meetings and safety programs

  • Ensure all work meets company industry and safety standards

What Youll Bring

Required:

  • Qualified Refrigeration Mechanic (Cert III in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning)

  • Current Australian drivers licence

  • Current ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence

  • Restricted Electrical Licence

  • Demonstrated experience in commercial refrigeration service and maintenance

Ideally you will also have:

  • Experience with supermarket refrigeration cold storage or largescale commercial systems

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills

  • Flexibility to work varied hours or participate in an oncall roster

  • A proactive safety-first mindset

  • Exposure to industrial or ammonia refrigeration systems (advantageous but not essential)

  • Employment conditions fall under our registered Enterprise Agreement (available via Fair Work Australia).
