Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) is the nations leading voice on exercise and sports science. We govern and represent approximately 10000 degree-qualified accredited exercise professionals who support Australians to reach their health and performance goals.

About your role

12-month parental leave contract 0.8 FTE (flexible)

Join our Regulation Services Unit and play an important role in maintaining the quality and integrity of the exercise and sports science profession. Youll assess accreditation applications from graduates and professionals provide expert guidance to applicants contribute to improving accreditation processes and help ensure practitioners meet the standards required to deliver safe and effective services. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys critical thinking making evidence-based decisions and contributing to continuous improvement.

What youll do

  • Assess domestic and international accreditation applications
  • Provide advice and support to applicants and stakeholders
  • Make evidence-based accreditation decisions and maintain accurate records
  • Contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop and update accreditation policies procedures and resources
  • Collaborate with the assessment team to ensure fair and consistent outcomes

What youll bring

  • A tertiary qualification in Exercise & Sports Science (or related field)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and sound judgement
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
