About the role

  • Provide high-quality administrative and clerical support to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) working closely with medical nursing and allied health teams.

  • Manage a variety of administrative tasks including appointment scheduling minute taking correspondence report preparation data entry and record management.

  • Support key operational functions such as recruitment administration roster coordination invoice processing and auditing activities.

  • Act as a key point of contact for the department delivering professional reception and customer service to staff patients and stakeholders.

  • Assist the ICU leadership team with coordinating support services maintaining office equipment and supplies and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the unit.

About you

  • Previous experience in a similar role ideally in a health care setting

  • Capacity to work both autonomously and under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure high volume work environment.

  • Polished verbal and written communication skills and proficient computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office dashboards databases spreadsheets and other administrative software.

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail able to manage competing priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines efficiently.

  • A professional reliable and proactive team player with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
