Job Summary
About the role:
As a key player in maintaining Hydro Tasmanias hydrographic data archives your role will support critical business functions like real-time energy trading and dam safety by ensuring our data is accurate and timely. Youll also help automate processes and produce reports for stakeholders contributing to the reliability and accuracy of our data. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in Tasmanias renewable energy sector while developing your skills in hydrography and data management.
This is a 12-month fixed-term position.
Salary range $96400 $118561 plus super

Key responsibilities
Ensure Hydrographic data is analysed in a timely reliable and accurate manner
Maintain extensive library of ratings curves to ensure accurate flow calculations
Support with building processes and procedures to continuously improve data reliability and accuracy
Assist with monitoring and maintaining relevant processes to ensure forecasting model outputs are available

Skills & experience
Cert IV or equivalent industry experience as a Hydrographer or in Data Management
Strong problem-solving capabilities with a meticulous attention to detail
Ability to travel across Tasmania with our Hydrographers to assist with field work
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
