Human Resources Advisor
Job Summary
Reporting to the Coordinator Human Resources this position provides professional HR advice and operational support across the employee lifecycle.
You will partner with leaders and employees to deliver consistent practical and compliant HR services contributing to positive organisational outcomes and a strong workplace culture.
- Provide timely practical HR advice to leaders and employees across a range of people management matters
- Support the resolution of employee relations matters including grievances performance issues and misconduct
- Assist with recruitment and selection position reviews and workforce planning initiatives
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies procedures and projects
- Coordinate and support key HR activities including performance review cycles and reporting
- Ensure HR practices are consistent compliant and aligned with legislation Council directives and the Enterprise Agreement
You are an experienced HR generalist with a strong understanding of employment legislation and industrial frameworks ideally within a complex or unionised environment.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience across the employee lifecycle
- Sound knowledge of employment legislation industrial relations and HR practices
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- The ability to exercise sound judgement confidentiality and professionalism
- Certificate IV in Human Resources (or related discipline) and demonstrated experience (5 years) in a generalist HR role
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or public sector experience will be highly regarded
- Experience interpreting Enterprise Agreements and using HR systems is desirable
