The HSQF Governance Specialist plays a key role in strengthening governance compliance and quality across the this role you will support the development review and maintenance of policies while also supporting teams to embed them in practice and bringing internal stakeholders along the change journey.
As a standalone position you will work closely with the Director to shape policy direction prioritise key initiatives and deliver practical achievable governance improvements that make a real impact across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
Ensure policies align with the HSQF (Human Services Quality Framework) as well as legislative and funding requirements
Work collaboratively with service delivery clinical and corporate teams to support understanding implementation and ownership of governance frameworks
Policy development and maintenance
Continuous improvement and compliance readiness
Role requirements
Tertiary qualification in the area of law public policy business administration or a related field. Qualification in social work or behavioural sciences may be considered with relevant experience in compliance and governance.
Demonstrated experience in managing policy and compliance functions including policy development audit coordination (internal and external) and risk management practices and functions. Experience in the social and community services sector or in similarly regulated environments governed by complex legislative and compliance requirements will be highly regarded.
Experience conducting compliance assessments and audits including evidence collection analysis against standards and preparation of clear accurate audit reports.
An understanding of current state and federal funding and governance requirements for DFSV and related human services including the Human Services Quality Framework (HSQF) and the Queensland DFV Practice Standards and Regulations.
