The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Advisor to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract based out of our Bundoora Head Office.
Safety is a core value at Dysons and the HSE Advisor is instrumental in ensuring Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety strategies systems and initiatives are effectively implemented and consistently applied throughout the workplace.
To be successful in this role you will use your ability to build relationships have strong investigative skills a hands-on practical approach to problem solving and communicate with confidence.
What Youll Be Doing
Youll be a visible and trusted presence across our regional sites working alongside leaders and employees to promote safe work practices identify opportunities for improvement and drive positive HSE outcomes that support our people and operations.
Conducting regular and systematic HSE audits across multiple regional locations to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities
Leading and supporting workplace incident investigations ensuring timely and effective outcomes
Actively involved in the investigation review and debrief of high-severity and critical incidents driving corrective actions through to completion to prevent recurrence
Undertaking site compliance inspections and working closely with operational teams to implement and close out corrective actions
Proactively identifying HSE risks and opportunities providing practical guidance and intervention where required
Supporting the continuous improvement of HSE systems processes and performance across the business.
What Were Looking For
Excellent communication consultation and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to support change and drive positive safety behaviours
Sound knowledge of HSE management systems legislative compliance requirements and continuous improvement methodologies
Formal training and experience in incident investigation methodologies such as ICAM Root Cause Analysis or equivalent
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide practical risk-based solutions in operational environments
A current drivers licence and access to your own vehicle with a company vehicle available for business use as required.
