Job Summary
McCosker are inviting applications for an experienced HR Officer to join our team in Gladstone.
- Monday to Friday and open to flexibility in work hours
- Maximum contract or casual arrangement and competitive remuneration
Our HR team is experienced collaborative and connected to the business partnering with site leaders to source and engage a skilled workforce. As HR Officer you will be a key part in delivering that partnership owning end-to-end recruitment onboarding and HR program delivery across McCoskers projects.

- Lead recruitment sourcing and selection to support the workforce plan
- Coordinate end-to-end onboarding ensuring accurate and compliant documentation and records management
- Build strong working relationships with hiring managers and site leaders to deliver a responsive high-quality HR service
- Contribute to HR and IR projects programs and continuous improvement initiatives
- Actively uphold company policies and compliance standards across all work.
Experience and Skills
- Qualification or training in Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations and/or equivalent experience.
- White card desirable.
- Minimum 2 years in sourcing selection and onboarding processes and civil construction experience is a bonus.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office and HR Information Systems.
- Sound knowledge of the HR employee lifecycle human resource practices NES awards and enterprise agreements
- Ability to implement HR and IR programs ensuring adoption by site leaders
- Confident communicator who can negotiate and collaborate with leaders at all levels
- High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive people matters
- Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and sharp attention to detail
