Due to continued growth we are seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Advisor to join our team based in Karratha.
Were flexible! This role can be offered as either a full-time or part-time opportunity providing flexibility to suit the right candidate.
This is a permanent residential position based in Karratha.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the HR Manager the Human Resources Advisor will play a key role in supporting the delivery of effective HR services across the business.
This is a diverse role providing hands-on support across the employee lifecycle including recruitment onboarding employee relations performance management training and development compliance and HR projects.
You will work closely with leaders and employees across our Earthmoving and Pavement divisions providing practical HR advice and helping build a positive engaged and high-performing workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical HR advice and support to managers and employees
- Support end to end recruitment activities including advertising interviewing and selection
- Coordinate employee onboarding inductions and mobilisation processes
- Prepare employment documentation letters and HR correspondence
- Provide advice and support on employee relations matters including performance management and disciplinary processes
- Support the interpretation and application of employment legislation modern awards and company policies
- Assist with learning and development initiatives and training coordination
- Support employee engagement wellbeing and culture initiatives
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems
- Assist with HR reporting projects and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
You are a proactive HR professional who enjoys working in a fast paced operational environment and building strong relationships with people at all levels of the business.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Human Resources Advisor or similar role
- Relevant qualification in Human Resources Business or a related discipline (desirable)
- Experience providing practical HR advice to leaders and employees
- Knowledge and experience interpreting employment legislation and modern awards
- Experience in employee relations performance management and recruitment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
- A proactive approach with a strong focus on solutions and continuous improvement
Experience within the construction mining resources or a similar operational environment will be highly regarded.
