Housing Sustainment Specialist Officer

Community Housing Limited is seeking a Housing Sustainment Specialist Officer to deliver high-quality tenancy sustainment and supportive tenancy management services to CHL customers. Reporting to the State Operations Manager you will work proactively to support sustainable tenancies prevent homelessness and improve customer outcomes through person-centred trauma-informed case management stakeholder collaboration advocacy and support coordination.

This is a full-time Monday-Friday role based in our Brisbane office (Eight Miles Plains). It offers a competitive salary salary packaging flexible working options and the opportunity to be part of a supportive team committed to delivering quality services and positive housing outcomes.

What youll do

In this role youll support customers to maintain safe stable housing and build long-term independence. Working with Housing Officers CHL teams and community partners youll provide early intervention practical support advocacy and coordinated case management for customers at risk of tenancy breakdown or homelessness.

Youll make an impact by:

• Identifying tenancy risks early and putting practical sustainment plans in place.
• Providing trauma-informed strengths-based support for customers with complex needs.
• Helping customers build skills in budgeting tenancy obligations property care and independent living.
• Advocating for customers and connecting them with housing health financial employment and community supports.
• Managing complex situations including conflict neighbour disputes anti-social behaviour and crisis responses.
• Keeping accurate records and contributing to service improvement and best-practice tenancy sustainment.

What Youll Bring

• A qualification in Social Work Human Services Community Services or a related field.
• At least two years experience in housing homelessness tenancy support case management or community services.
• Confidence supporting people with complex needs using trauma-informed person-centred and strengths-based practice.
• Strong knowledge of tenancy sustainment housing and homelessness systems and local support networks.
• Great communication advocacy stakeholder engagement problem-solving and organisational skills.
• A commitment to CHLs values safety and inclusive workplace culture.
• A current Driver Licence.

Appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks including National Police Check NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check. All pre-employment checks will be arranged during onboarding.
