We are now seeking an exceptional Sommelier to take the helm of a wine offering already recognised among the finest in the country curating the cellar guiding our guests and inspiring the team behind every pour. This is a rare opportunity to bring your craft to a benchmark address for wine in Western Australia and to create memorable moments for discerning guests from Perth and across the world. About the Role
POSITION SUMMARY
Issue open and serve wine/champagne bottles. Answer guest questions or concerns regarding the origin vintage and style of various wines. Update and maintain wine list and MICROS system. Pair and suggest wines that will best complement menu items. Attend wine tastings and develop relationships with vendors. Request new wines and products. Create and update wine lists. Design and implement wine promotions and incentive programs. Monitor and replenish inventory of wine cellar equipment and glassware. Train and educate server and bartender staff. Conduct vintage and BIN number checks. Conduct staff wine tastings. Secure liquors beers wines coolers cabinets and storage areas. Follow all state and local laws for serving alcohol responsibly. Maintain accurate spill sheet.

Skills & Experience
- Professional Qualification for Wine and Beverage in hospitality industry.
- Approved Manager Certification from Nationally Accredited Training provider (inclusive of RSA).
- Nationally Recognised Food Safety Certification for Supervisors
- Experience working in management role preferable.
- Experience working in a Restaurant (or Food & Beverage outlet) required.
- Qualification from an accredited university in Food Service Management Hotel and Restaurant Management Hospitality Business Administration or related field desirable.
- Unrestricted working rights for Australia.
