About the role and where you will be working:

We are currently looking for Hospitality Staff members to join our team at our Villa Pelletier in West Leederville for up to 40 residents Villa Pelletier features wide corridors multiple lounge areas for residents and visitors to enjoy and enclosed walkways between houses.

Youll be part of a team that plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our facility by helping deliver nutritious meals and maintaining a clean safe and efficient kitchen environment for our residents.

This position is a casual role working across mornings afternoons and evening shifts.

Your responsibilities will includebut not limited to:
  • Assisting with meal preparation and basic food preparation tasks as directed by the Chef or Cook.
  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment in accordance with food safety and infection control standards.
  • Washing dishes utensils cookware and kitchen equipment.
  • Cleaning kitchen surfaces benches floors and food preparation areas.
  • Receiving storing and rotating stock in line with food safety requirements.
  • Assisting with meal service including plating meals and distributing food items as required.
  • Monitoring kitchen supplies and reporting stock shortages.
  • Managing waste disposal and ensuring rubbish and recycling areas are maintained safely and hygienically.
  • Supporting the catering team to ensure meals are prepared and delivered efficiently and on time.

To be considered for this role youll need:
  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand in hospitality catering or food services (aged care experience highly regarded).
  • Knowledge of food safety hygiene and infection control practices.
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a positive can-do attitude.
  • Reliability punctuality and strong attention to detail.
