Horticulturist

This full-time position is based onsite at Wenty Leagues with the main responsibility being to maintain all garden areas to a high standard. There will also be an opportunity to upskill in greenkeeping for the right person.

• Assist with leading a team of horticultural maintenance staff ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
• Perform regular horticultural maintenance including mowing edging pruning weeding mulching and fertilising
• Maintain ornamental gardens hedges lawns and feature planting areas to premium presentation standard
• Operate and maintain horticultural tools machinery and irrigation systems safely and effectively
• Assist in seasonal planting turf renovation and landscape improvement projects
• Identify and treat plant pests diseases and nutrient deficiencies
• Work collaboratively with facilities staff to support events and operational needs

You have a Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens and excellent working knowledge of all of the tools and equipment used in the field such as hedgers whipper snippers blowers hand tools and some petrol operated equipment.

You are willing to obtain a White Card and Working with Childrens check if you dont already have them.

You pride yourself on your well-honed communication skills.

Most importantly you have proven ability to effectively prioritise workflows impart knowledge to others and be a mature and reliable team player.
